Syllabus of Architectural Designing:
Architecture is the art of designing Homes, Rooms, arranging furniture, indoor spaces, for better Utility, comfort and luxury.
Planning of Residences in 100, 200 to 400 yards. Alternate Plans for same land/ plot. Clinic cum Residence, Office cum residence. One portion, two portions, single storied, double storied. Designing of Residential / Commercial complex, Multi storied buildings, Flats, offices, Shops etc; in 1000 yards and above land area.
Planning as per the requirements of the family members, their age, profession, and future needs. Keeping in view, Utility, comfort, luxury, Vision privacy, Sound privacy, Smell privacy, circulation, multi-functional spaces. Proportion in design, harmony, balance. Light and air in rooms, proper ventilation.
Alternate plans, Presentation Drawings, Schematic Drawings, Furniture Layouts.

Each project must have 3 alternate Plans / Designs with Elevations.

Mr. Shakir Hussain owns a plot at Hakeemnagar, Musheerabad, Hyderabad. It is rectangular plot admeasuring 20’-0” x 45’=0”. A 20’-0” Wide road is adjacent to one of its shorter sides.
Design a single Bed Room House as per the following requirements:
Provide suitable doors windows, Ventilators, Furniture, Wardrobes, Cupboards and Passages etc.
THREE Alternate Plans with Elevations. – means Three different Designs.
First draw the plan with pencil after correction by the lecturer- Draw it on computer.
Calculate and write the Plot area, Built – up area and Open area.
Find the total cost of the proposed building
Land Value = Rs. 25,000/- Per Square Yard
Medium type construction cost = Rs. 1150/- Per Square Feet
Water and electricity = 5% of the construction cost
Municipal Permission = 4% of the construction cost
Architectural/Engineering Fee = 5% of the construction cost
Contingencies = 5% of the construction cost
Write the TITLE BLOCK as practiced in Civil Draughtsman ship.
Mr. Krishna Das has purchased an old house at Vikas Colony, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad.
It is rectangular land having Side 36’-0” & 45’-0” A 30’-0” Wide Road is adjacent to end of its shorter sides. The Road is on the northern side of the plot.
Design a double bedroom Residence as per the following requirements.
Mr. Rajan Babu owns a plot at Jyothi Nagar. Langar House, Hyderabad. It is a Rectangular plot ad-measuring 45’-0” x 60’-0” having a 50’-0” wide road adjacent to another one of its side.
Design a bungalow keeping in view the given requirements.
